The $18.78 billion Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund OP&F) has made a commitment of up to $80 million to Grain Communications Fund IV to bolster its real assets portfolio.
Grain IV, a noncore, closed-end digital infrastructure fund managed by Grain Management, will target digital infrastructure opportunities such as towers, data centers, fiber rollouts and managed sources primarily in North America, with a potential for some investments in Western Europe as well. The vehicle has an equity fundraising target of $4 billion.
OP&F’s real assets portfolio is valued at $1.15 billion — or 6 percent of the total portfolio. The target for real assets is 8 percent.
