Opdenergy has completed the buy-back of an 80 percent stake of three solar photovoltaic plants in Spain, from the European infrastructure fund Marguerite II.
The La Fernandina solar PV plant is located in Merida (Badajoz), the Miramundo solar PV plant is located in Puerto Real, and the Zafra solar PV plant is located in Alcala de la Guadaira. Opdenergy was awarded the solar plants at the public auction of 2017, and developed the three solar plants and brought them online in 2019. The three plants have a total installed capacity of 150 megawatts and, during 2020, recorded an aggregate joint production of 300 gigawatt hours.
Following the transaction, Opdenergy will own 100 percent of the plants and will increase its aggregate attributable installed capacity in Spain to 261 megawatts, and 468 megawatts, globally.
