The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan has made several appointments in an effort to strengthen its presence in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific (APAC).
Ontario Teachers’ appointed Nick Jansa to senior managing director, EMEA, and promoted Ben Chan to senior managing director, APAC.
Jansa will report to CIO Ziad Hindo and will lead the investment activities and portfolio management in EMEA. He will be based in the company’s London office. Jansa previously served as managing director, co-head of corporate finance EMEA and global co-head of leveraged debt capital markets at Deutsche Bank, where he spent more than 24 years.
Chan joined Ontario Teachers’ in 2018 and has been instrumental in growing its investment activities in Asia, most recently overseeing the opening of the company’s new Singapore office. Prior to Ontario Teachers’, Chan worked at Khazanah Nasional Berhad, where he held progressively senior roles.
