Ontario Teachers’ announces slew of executive promotions

Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board has appointed three longstanding investment leaders to new executive roles.

Stephen McLennan was named CIO, asset allocation. He will oversee Ontario Teachers' overall asset mix to drive total fund performance, management of portfolio risks, and approach to strong governance and investment practices.

McLennan, who joined Ontario Teachers’ in 2003, has been serving as acting head of investments since September 2023, after the departure of former CIO Ziad Hindo. McLennan has held positions of increasing responsibility since he started at the company, most recently leading the total fund management department.

Gillian Brown was appointed CIO, public & private investments.
