One of the first private wind farms to be built in Morocco

by Kali Persall

InnoVent Maroc, a subsidiary of French renewable energy company InnoVent, is planning to establish a 36-megawatt wind farm in Morocco, according to Morocco World News.

The project will be known as the Oualidia wind farm and span 10 hectares (25 acres). The project has a total investment cost of $33.7 million and will be one of the first private wind farms in Morocco.

Construction began on the project in March and has since connected it to Morocco’s national electricity grid. It is expected to be fully operational by mid-2021.
