Omnes Capital, a private equity and infrastructure firm based in Paris, has announced the final close of its fifth-generation renewable-energy fund, Capenergie 5, at €2.05 billion ($2.1 billion), including €250 million ($257 million) in co-investments.
Capenergie 5 received strong support from Omnes’ existing investor base, significantly surpassing its initial €1.35 billion ($1.4 billion) target and hard cap of €1.65 billion ($1.7 billion). The fund was raised within a two-year period and represents the largest fundraising in Omnes’ history.
With a re-up rate of nearly 100 percent alongside commitments from new institutional investors from around the globe, Capenergie 5 attracted strong interest from a diverse group of insurance companies, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices and fund-of-funds. Notable participants included Sogecap, P+, AG Insurance, AkademikerPension, Bpifrance, Caisses du Crédit Agricole, Golding and Industriens Pension.
