IREI has learned that Oklahoma Firefighters Pension & Retirement System has committed $100 million to IFM Global Infrastructure fund, following a request for proposals issued in August.
The pension fund could not be reached to comment on the recent activity.
According to the solicitation, Oklahoma was seeking an open-end private infrastructure equity investment manager, as an active complement to the system’s total portfolio. Responses were due on Sept. 30.
Oklahoma’s investment committee met on Dec. 19 to conduct interviews of the infrastructure managers, according to a meeting document. IFM Investors manages funds across the infrastructure, debt investments, liquid equities and private equity asset classes. Other finalists included funds by Brookfield Asset Managers and JP Morgan.
