by Andrea Zander

The $15.48 billion Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund has approved a $60 million commitment to Almanac Realty Securities Fund VIII.

It is the first commitment of the year, during which OP&F will target between $115 million and $165 million in new real estate commitments. The pension fund approved its 2018 Real Estate Investment Plan in December 2017.

Almanac Realty Security Fund VIII, sponsored by Almanac Realty Investors, will continue its strategy of providing entity-level growth capital to proven, experienced real estate operators in the United States and Canada, and investments will include firms focused on property types such as office, industrial, retail, apartments and hotels. The fund launched in October 2017 with a $1.5 billion fundraising target.
