Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund discloses real estate, real assets returns

Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund (OP&F) ​​has recorded a net return of 4.9 percent on its real estate portfolio for the second quarter of 2021, according to a report from Townsend, OP&F’s real estate consultant.

The OP&F real estate portfolio is valued at $1.78 billion, and accounts for 9.6 percent of the total portfolio. The target for real estate is 12 percent.

In other news, the pension fund’s real assets portfolio, which includes infrastructure, timberland and agriculture, had a net return of 2.4 percent for the quarter. The portfolio is relatively new, and has a value of $668.6 million, which accounts for 3.6 percent of the total portfolio. The target for real assets is 8 percent.
