Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust has agreed to pay €58.9 million ($69 million) for an 119.5-megawatt portfolio of solar plants in France, according to several news reports.
The portfolio consists of 14 fully operational solar photovoltaic assets ranging in size from 4.6 megawatts to 12 megawatts. All of the assets benefit from a feed-in tariff under the French 2011 renewables tender.
The sellers of the assets are a minority investor and a renewable fund backed by Samsung Securities.
Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust is a closed-end investment company focused on building and operating a diversified portfolio of renewable energy assets in Europe and Australia.
