Octopus Investments Australia enlists Apex Group amid renewable investment push

Octopus Investments Australia has chosen Apex Group to provide services to its fund structures focused on renewables investment.

Octopus Australia is building a portfolio of renewable energy assets that will help Australia lower its carbon emissions and meet its renewable energy targets. The company is responsible for managing more than A$1 billion ($692 million) of construction and operational assets.

Octopus’s portfolio includes Australia’s largest solar plant, the 333-megawatt facility in Darlington Point, New South Wales. Octopus also recently partnered with the $10 billion Clean Energy Finance Corp. to invest in renewables in Gippsland.

Apex, a global financial services provider, will provide Octopus Australia with fund administration, investor onboarding, share registry and tax services for new fund structures dedicated to investing in renewable energy in Australia.
