Occidental Management plans 200-plus-acre mixed-use redevelopment

Wichita-based commercial real estate development firm Occidental Management has submitted plans for the former Sprint Corp. headquarters to the City of Overland Park, Kan.

Purchased in July 2019, the more than 200-acre campus is entering the initial phase of development from a single-use location to a dynamic, mixed-use space for the businesses, employees and community of Overland Park.

The initial documents outline key components of the plan, including the use of the existing nearly 4 million square feet of class A office space and an additional 2.7 million square feet of office, retail, restaurant and multifamily housing space throughout the mixed-use development.
