by Kali Persall

The New York State Teachers' Retirement System (NYSTRS) has renewed three real estate contracts with consultants and advisers.

According to minutes from its Jan. 28 meeting, the pension fund renewed its agreement with Callan, which serves as a real estate consultant, and renewed its agreement with Raith Capital Partners, which serves as a real estate debt separate account adviser.

In addition, NYSTRS also renewed its contract with Cohen & Steers Capital Management to manage a portion of the system's assets in REITs and REOCs.

NYSTRS is one of the 10 largest public retirement funds in the United States. As of June 30, 2020, the fund had $130.5 billion in assets under management.
