NYSTRS commits $200m to Artemis, Cabot Partners real estate funds
The New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS) announced renewed commitments to two real estate managers at its April 26 retirement board meeting.
The pension fund committed $150 million to an Artemis Real Estate Debt separate account and $50 million to Cabot Industrial Value Fund VII earlier this year.
Artemis Real Estate Partners makes equity and debt investments in real estate across the United States, with a focus on multifamily, industrial, office, retail, hospitality, senior housing and medical office. Artemis also specializes in joint venture partnerships and direct investments. A fundraising strategy for the debt vehicle could not be determined at the time of publication.
Cabot Industrial Value Fund VII is a closed-end, value-add fund managed by Cabot Properties. The fund launched in April 2022 and has a target size of $1.5 billion, according to a meeting document from Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System, which
