NW1 Partners has held a closing for its NW1 Washington DC Urban Retail Venture, with a target of $175 million of total assets.

The venture is assembling a portfolio of urban retail assets in the growing, millennial influenced submarkets of Washington, D.C.

NW1 has partnered exclusively with Martin-Diamond Properties (MDP), an urban retail specialist with extensive institutional sector expertise. NW1 is acting as the general partner of the venture and is responsible for approving all major real estate decisions.

To date, the venture has committed nearly one-third of its capital, in properties totaling 70,230 square feet.
