Northwind Group acquires Manhattan office property

Northwind Group has acquired 40-42 Exchange Place in New York City for approximately $120 million from Weiss Realty.

The 251,700 square-foot office building is located in downtown Manhattan and features 13,000 square feet of street level retail. Built in 1902, the 20-story building is 88 percent occupied and is home to Rosetta Wines, Omega Shoes, David’s Kosher Blimpie and The Irish Punt.

This is just the most recent of a long list of Manhattan office properties to sell this year. Recently, in downtown Manhattan, Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers acquired 100 Wall St for $275 million and RXR Realty purchased
