David Hunter, executive director and CIO of the North Dakota State Investment Board (SIB), has tendered his resignation, effective June 22.
The SIB thanked Hunter for his years of dedication and service to the state and investment program, and vice chair Rob Lech applauded him for his commitment to due diligence and growth-oriented leadership.
The SIB has created an executive search committee and is preparing to issue an RFP for an executive search firm to assist the board with the selection of Hunter’s successor.
In the meantime, North Dakota’s Retirement Investment Office’s deputy executive director Janilyn Murtha will serve as interim executive director and RIO’s deputy CIO Darren Schulz will serve as interim CIO.
