Nordecon signs contract for 73 wind turbine construction project

Nordecon Betoon OÜ (NOBE), a Nordecon Group company, has entered into a contract with Nordex Sverige AB to construct the foundations for 73 wind turbines for Nysäter Windfarm, a wind park to be erected in Northern Sweden close to Sundsvall.

The agreement includes both concrete works and ground anchor installation.

Nysäter Windfarm will be one of the biggest land-based wind parks in Europe with total installed capacity of 475 megawatts. Seventy-three turbines will be erected in the first phase, and another 41 turbines will be added in the second phase.

Nordex Group, the contractor of NOBE, is the fifth-biggest turbine manufacturer in the world.

The project itself is owned by a fund advised by Credit Suisse Energy Infrastructure Partners and E.ON Climate & Renewables.

The value of the NOBE contract is €14.7 million ($16.3 million), plus value-added tax. The construction work will be completed by June 2020.

Nordecon is group of construction companies whose core business is construction project management and general contracting in the buildings and infrastructures segment.

Geographically the group operates in Estonia, Ukraine, Finland and Sweden. The consolidated revenue of the group in 2018 was €223 million ($247 million).
