Nick Newby has joined Skypoint Capital as senior vice president, alternatives, he announced in a post on LinkedIn.
Previously, Newby had been the vice president, senior regional director of private equity and alternatives at Voya Investment Management. He also had stints at Angel Oak Capital Advisors, Softchoice and Wells Fargo.
Newby earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and management from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Ga.
Skypoint Capital focuses specifically on taxable and tax-exempt income, dividend income, infrastructure, private credit and real estate strategies. Its approach is purely consultative.
