Niam raises largest real estate fund in Nordics with €1.1b
Nordic real estate private equity firm Niam has completed a final close for its Niam Nordic VII fund with €1.1 billion ($1.2 billion) in equity commitments.
The opportunistic fund was targeting €800 million ($895 million) to invest in all property types in the Nordics, Jennifer Andersson, COO and head of investor relations & business development, confirmed in an email. The fund has already started investing, but the firm hasn’t released any details to the public.
The investor base was comprised mainly of pension funds, making up 57 percent, followed by sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, insurance companies, fund of funds and financial institutions from around the world.
It is the largest private real estate fund in the Nordics.
