NextEra Energy Partners is planning to pay $733 million to Brookfield Renewable for a 391-megawatt portfolio of wind assets spanning two states.
The portfolio consists of four operating wind assets located in California and New Hampshire. NextEra said the assets are located in markets with significant long-term renewables demand and nearly all of the portfolio's capacity is contracted with investment-grade counterparties.
The assets in California are the 150-megawatt Alta Wind VIII facility, the 120-megawatt Windstar facility and the 22-megawatt Coram facility. The transaction also includes the 99-megawatt Granite facility in New Hampshire.
