The New York State Common Retirement Fund (NYSCRF) has launched an RFP seeking real estate consulting services.

The term of the agreement will be for a period of six years, with the option to extend for one additional two-year period. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of experience as an independent entity providing commercial real estate consultant services to at least three institutional investors, according to the RFP. They must also have current clients with aggregate real estate investments of at least $3 billion, including at least one U.S. public pension fund with more than $25 billion total assets under management.

To be considered, candidates also must have advisory experience that includes reviewing managers investing both domestically and internationally for real estate equity investments, and they must propose a primary consultant with a minimum of five years’ experience as a lead consultant for at least two major institutional investors employ
