The New York State Common Retirement Fund (NYSCRF) has disclosed a $350 million commitment to Blackstone Green Private Credit Fund III (BGREEN III), managed by Blackstone.
BGREEN III is a closed-end North American-focused, flexible credit fund primarily targeting the renewable- and transitional-energy sector. Investments may include senior secured term loans, mezzanine financing, preferred equity, and other customized structured debt.
Blackstone is an existing relationship for the NYSCRF. The pension fund said funding of capital calls will come from cash.
