The government of New South Wales, Australia, has unveiled plans to reach net-zero emissions by 2050 and invest more than A$37 billion ($27 billion) into clean energy.
The Net Zero Plan Stage 1: 2020-2030 outlines the government’s plan to halve emissions by 2030 compared to 2005 levels as part of an effort to strengthen the prosperity and quality of life of the people of New South Wales.
The plan will support a range of initiatives targeting energy, electric vehicles, hydrogen, primary industries, technology, built environment, carbon financing and organic waste.
