New Jersey pension commits $100m to infrastructure

The $85.4 billion New Jersey Division of Investments has committed $100 million to EQT Infrastructure Fund III, managed by EQT Partners. This is the pension fund’s first commitment to EQT.

The closed-end EQT Infrastructure Fund III invests in European infrastructure properties. The fund received a $146.5 million commitment from the $12 billion Maine Public Employees Retirement System in mid-November.

In other news, the New Jersey Division of Investments has made several commitments to real estate in 2016, including $100 million each to Wheelock Street Real Estate Fund V and Exeter Core Industrial Club Fund II, in March, and a $100 million commitment to Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies III, in February.
