The New Jersey State Investment Council invested $200 million in two real asset partnerships last year, according to a FY2019 annual report.
New Jersey’s $2.2 billion real assets portfolio consists of private real assets including energy, infrastructure, power, mining, and agriculture, as well as investments in publicly traded securities.
As of June 30, 2019, the real assets portfolio had 19 investments in limited partnerships that invest in global opportunities, as well as investments in publicly traded securities.
New Jersey had a 2.5 percent target allocation to real assets, as of October 2019.
