New Hampshire Retirement System brings on Raynald Leveque as new CIO
The New Hampshire Retirement System (NHRS) has appointed Raynald Leveque to serve as its new CIO, effective Oct. 1.
Leveque joins NHRS from Connecticut, where he has served as deputy CIO since January 2020. In this role, he was second only to the CIO in managing the $46 billion fund. Before joining the Connecticut Office of the Treasurer, Leveque served as vice president of asset owner strategy at the Bank of New York Mellon for more than two years. This followed a long stint at the New York State Common Retirement Fund, where he was the head of asset allocation and director of risk management. Early in his career, Leveque also worked as a quantitative analyst at Oppenheimer Funds.
As CIO at NHRS, Leveque will be responsible for providing expert investment counsel to the board of trustees and independent investment committee (IIC) and directing all aspects of the retirement system’s $11 billion investment program. He replaces Larry Johansen, who retired on Sept. 1 af
