The Swiss Federal Pension Fund PUBLICA has appointed Doris Bianchi as the new director of the fund. She will succeed Dieter Stohler, who leaves PUBLICA on Sept. 30.
Bianchi is a lawyer by training and currently works as a personal associate of the head of the Federal Department of Home Affairs, according to a statement by PUBLICA. She previously served as secretary at the Swiss Trade Union Federation.
Bianchi also chaired the Foundation Council of the LPP supplementary institution and that of the Guarantee Fund.
PUBLICA is an independent pension institution, organized as a collective institution that consists of 20 pension plans. PUBLICA invests across the various asset classes, including real estate, equities, government bonds, corporate bonds and commodities. The pension plan invests in real estate in Switzerland, as well as international real estate and real estate debt.
