Montana Board of Investments discloses commitments, vision for real estate portfolio

The Montana Board of Investments has disclosed $170 million in capital commitments to four real estate funds.

The commitments include $100 million to Walton Street Real Estate Debt Fund II, managed by Walton Street Capital; $30 million to DRA Growth & Income Fund X, managed by DRA Advisors; $30 million to Oak Street Real Estate Capital Fund V, managed by Oak Street Real Estate Capital; and $10 million to Fidelity Real Estate High Income Fund, managed by Fidelity Investments.

The pension fund could not be reached to comment on its latest investment efforts.

The board has also proposed to bump up the high end of the real estate asset class range from 8 percent to 30 percent, according to a February board meeting document. Montana is planning to increase its core real estate.
