by Andrea Zander

The Fairfax County (Va.) board of supervisors voted Tuesday to approve the View at Tysons development in Tysons, Va., which will feature the region’s tallest building, reported local media outlets.

The developer is Clemente Development Co.

The 3 million-square-foot mixed-use complex will consist of six buildings, includes 1.4 million square feet of office space and 1.14 million square feet of residential space. Retail, hotel, public park, black box theater and other uses make up the remainder.

The Iconic Tower will be 600 feet tall, while the next tallest buildings will be 455 feet and 420.5 feet. The Iconic Tower would include 400 feet of office space topped by a 200-foot architectural feature with a public observation deck.
