Mitiska REIM, a specialist investor in European convenience real estate, has opened a new retail park development, Quartier Enee, in Gembloux, Belgium.
Quartier Enee is part of a larger 27,000-square-meter (290,625-square-foot) mixed-use convenience real estate development, which includes SME units and office space developed by LCV Real Estate. The new retail park features 11 units with a gross leasable area of 17,157 square meters (184,676 square feet). It is anchored by a Lidl supermarket and has a roster of other tenants, including Aveve, JYSK, La Foir’Fouille, Vanden Borre, Vanden Borre Kitchen, Maxi Zoo and McDonald’s. Three leisure brands will also be opening at the park this summer.
Quartier Enee has been designed to be carbon dioxide–neutral and is targeting a “very good” score on the BREEAM scale. Other planned sustainability initiatives include the installation of solar panels and green roofs.
