Missouri State Employees seeks new CIO

The $9.1 billion Missouri State Employees’ Retirement System (MOSERS) is seeking a new CIO to replace Shannon Davidson, who is planning to retire in October after two years in the role and 25 years with the fund.

The CIO reports directly to the executive director and has primary responsibility for developing an overall strategy for implementing the MOSERS investment program. The CIO utilizes both internal and external strategies, including hiring external money managers, to implement the program, according to an application document detailing the role.

The new CIO will work to increase plan funding through prudent investment practices and build out the private real estate, private credit and private equity allocations.

MOSERS is seeking a candidate with a minimum of 10 years of institutional investment experience, a bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, or closely related field, and
