Missouri-based pension fund invests in Crow Holdings fund

The $6.27 billion Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System has committed $25 million to Crow Holdings Retail Fund II, managed by Crow Holdings Capital Partners.

Crow Holdings Retail Fund II, which launched in July, plans to invest in U.S. retail real estate. In June 2015, Crow Holdings Retail Fund closed with $295 million in commitments.

Missouri LAGERS is a nonprofit, public pension system created to provide retirement, disability and survivors’ benefits to members and beneficiaries in the most economical and efficient manner possible. LAGERS administers benefits for almost 60,000 members and retirees with its 27 staff members in Jefferson City, Mo. The system is funded through contributions from employers, members and the investment return of the system’s portfolio.
