Mirae Asset launches $252m infrastructure fund

Mirae Asset Global Investments Co. has announced plans to launch a 300 billion won ($252 million) infrastructure fund, according to The Korea Economic Daily.

The fund is reportedly collecting capital from National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF), Korean pension funds and insurance companies, and will use the funds to invest in a core infrastructure fund managed by Equitix.

The vehicle, known as Equitix Fund VI, is seeking to raise up to £1.5 billion ($1.8 billion) in capital commitments. The Equitix fund series focuses on small to mid-cap infrastructure projects located in the United Kingdom and Europe across a wide range of sectors, with a special focus on social infrastructure and renewable energy.

Equitix opened the fund to investors in August 2019.
