Microsoft to replenish more water than it consumes by 2030

by Andrea Zander

Microsoft has plans to be water positive by 2030, reducing water usage and replenishing water.

The replenishment strategy will include investments in projects such as wetland restoration and the removal of impervious surfaces such as asphalt, which will help replenish water back into the basins that need it most. Microsoft will focus on 40 highly stressed basins where it has operations.

It also has a goal of becoming carbon negative by 2030.
