Microsoft registers blockchain and AI platform for agriculture in Brazil

by Andrea Zander

Microsoft has registered an application for the agricultural sector in Brazil, according to an exclusive report by Cointelegraph.

The solution, “FarmBeats,” which already has been implemented in farms across the United States, India, New Zealand and Kenya, has now been registered in Brazil.

FarmBeats uses blockchain, drones, internet of things (loT), artificial intelligence and big data to improve productivity.

Other blockchain investments by Microsoft include the blockchain startup Truffle, which it used for its Azure cloud computing service to help developers build and manage enterprise blockchain applications. And the tech giant has launched its first decentralized infrastructure implementation, called Ion.
