Metito Utilities, British International Investment launch water infrastructure platform in Africa

by Kali Persall

Metito Utilities Ltd. (MUL), a global investor and operator of water, wastewater and alternative energy management solutions, and British International Investment (BII), the United Kingdom’s development finance institution and impact investor, have launched a new platform to increase water security across Africa and mobilize long-term investment into the sector.

The first-of-its-kind platform, known as Africa Water Infrastructure Development (AWID), will develop climate-smart water projects at scale, financing water and wastewater management treatment plants.
