Meridiam partnership wins $1.2b highway PPP

Kiewit Meridiam Partners has been selected to lead the development and reconstruction of Interstate 70 in the Denver area, which will be the largest infrastructure development in Colorado Department of Transportation history.

The project, which is expected to cost around $1.2 billion, includes reconstruction of a 10-mile stretch of I-70 east of downtown Denver, adding one new Express Lane in each direction between I-25 and Chambers Road. Construction will begin in 2018.

Kiewit Meridiam Partners comprises Kiewit Infrastructure Co., which is an equity member and the project’s lead contractor; Meridiam Infrastructure North America Fund, also an equity member; WSP and Jacobs Engineering, which will together lead engineering of the project; and Ray Jorgensen Associated, which will be the lead operator on the project.
