Meridia Capital has raised more than €250 million ($302 million) for its Meridia IV fund, Paula Piera, a spokesperson for the firm, confirmed in an email.
The vehicle opened to investors in May 2019 and closed in November slightly above its €250 million ($302 million) target. The fund was backed by an institutional and international base, including insurance companies, pension funds, asset managers and investment firms, as well as private investors and family offices.
Meridia IV invests in value-add opportunities covering all commercial real estate sectors, mainly office, logistics and hospitality, with a small allocation to alternative real estate segments. Regionally, the fund’s focus is on the Spanish market, primarily targeting Madrid and Barcelona. It also can opportunistically allocate about 10 percent of its capital to investments in Portugal.
