Law firm McGuireWoods has hired Phyllis Young as a partner in the firm’s debt finance practice, based in the firm’s Dallas and Houston offices.
Young, a transactional lawyer, joins McGuireWoods from Akin Gump, where she served as a partner in the firm’s Houston office, representing public and private companies, funds, investors and financial institutions on domestic and international corporate transactions.
According to her LinkedIn page, Young specializes in finance, financial restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, commercial contracts and other corporate matters. She has experience in the energy, manufacturing, steel, OCTG, petrochemicals, technology and retail sectors.
Young is the fifth partner to join McGuireWoods’ debt finance practice this year, following the arrivals of Chris Molen in Atlanta, Deepak Reddy in New York, and Lee Cullinane and Marc Naidoo in London, as well as senior counsel Margaret Seurynck in Chicago, according
