by Jody Barhanovich

The $750 million Merced County (Calif.) Employees’ Retirement Association has committed $10 million to two infrastructure funds, according to Kristen Santos, retirement plan administrator.

The pension fund committed $5 million each to ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund II and EnCap Flatrock Midstream Fund IV.

ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund II, managed by I Squared Capital, is a mid-market global infrastructure fund that focuses on acquiring brownfield assets and building infrastructure companies. The fund is seeking to raise $5 billion in total equity commitments.

The second fund, EnCap Flatrock Midstream Fund IV, is managed by EnCap Investments. The closed-end fund invests mainly in energy assets throughout North America. The fund has previously received commitments from Houston Municipal Employees Pension System and Orange County (Calif.) Employees Retirement System.
