McDowell Housing Partners has named Brian Villa CIO.
In his role, Villa will be responsible for leading both the finance and legal departments and will collaborate with MHP’s principals and department leaders to advance the firm’s vision and operating strategies. Previously, Villa was the CIO of a Midwest-based affordable housing developer, where he oversaw closing transactions, managed the real estate portfolio, and interacted with financing partners. Before that, Villa served as general counsel for a Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) syndicator, managing closing transactions, assisting the various departments with legal matters, and serving as secretary of the investment committee. Earlier in his career, Villa practiced in the corporate and real estate groups of a large regional law firm.
