Singapore-based Mapletree Investments has sold a grade-A office building in Sydney’s Macquarie Park to Australia’s Growthpoint Properties for A$101.25 million ($70.3 million), according to Mingtiandi.
Dominic Ong, partner, head of Asian markets at Knight Frank Australia, confirmed the sale and settlement of the property, located at 78 Waterloo Road in a Jan. 26 LinkedIn posting.
He said the property is a high‑quality, grade-A commercial office asset built in 2009 and recognized as one of the premier buildings in the Macquarie Park market. It is located near the Macquarie Centre and between both Macquarie Park Metro stations.
Ong confirmed that the sales process generated competitive bidding from nine qualified purchasers, representing nearly $1 billion of active capital.
