Manhattan’s 1334 York Avenue sells to Weill Cornell Medicine

Weill Cornell Medicine has purchased 1334 York Avenue, an approximately 500,000-square-foot, class A commercial building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

JLL’s Capital Markets advised  Weill Cornell Medicine on the acquisition.

Originally built in 1925 and most recently renovated in 2019, 1334 York Avenue consists of 10 stories of office and life sciences/healthcare space. 1334 York Avenue occupies an entire city block between 71st and 72nd Streets along Hospital Row in Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

1334 York Avenue is a critical location for Weill Cornell Medicine’s continued growth within its Upper East Side campus, proximate to the Sandra and Edward Meyer Research and Education Building at 1300 York Avenue. Other essential locations at WCM’s main campus on the Upper East Side include the Weill Greenberg Center at 1305 York Avenue, Belfer Research Building at 413 East 69th Street, and NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Corn
