Macquarie Infrastructure Corp. (MIC) has promoted senior managing director Nick O’Neil to CFO, effective Sept. 1. O’Neil succeeds Liam Stewart, who is leaving MIC after five years to pursue opportunities in the digital infrastructure arena.
O’Neil joined Macquarie in 2007 and has been a member of the firm’s senior leadership team since April 2018, reporting to Christopher Frost, CEO of MIC. The firm said he has played a significant role in various holding company–level projects, including MIC’s decision to pursue strategic alternatives.
O’Neil was previously responsible for Macquarie’s real estate business in the Americas as well as its infrastructure investment platforms in Brazil and Mexico.
Prior to joining Macquarie, O’Neil advised clients on all aspects of corporate tax at KPMG Australia. He holds bachelor’s degrees in art and law from Bond University.
