The Macomb County (Mich.) Retirement System has committed $12 million to Centerbridge Partners Real Estate Fund II, managed by Centerbridge Partners.
According to an SEC filing from May 27, the fund has collected more than $605 million, against a target of $2 billion. A total of 46 investors have backed the fund, which will invest in real estate assets in the United States.
The first fund in the series, Centerbridge Partners Real Estate Fund, closed in March 2019 with $894 million in capital commitments, against a target of $1 billion.
Macomb County could not be reached to comment on the investment at the time of publication.
