The $11.4 billion Louisiana State Employees’ Retirement System, Baton Rouge, has committed $100 million to Brookfield Infrastructure Fund IV.
The infrastructure fund, managed by Brookfield Asset Management, is looking to invest in transportation, renewable power, utilities and data infrastructure assets across North America, Europe, South America and Asia Pacific.
If it reaches its target of $17 billion, Fund IV will be Brookfield’s largest infrastructure fund to date.
The previous fund in the series, Brookfield Infrastructure Fund III, held a $14 billion final close in 2016.
