by Jody Barhanovich

Longpoint Realty Partners, a Boston-based real estate private equity firm, has closed its inaugural real estate private equity fund, Longpoint Realty Fund I, with $280 million in equity commitments.

The fund received broad support from a diverse mix of U.S.- and Europe-based sovereign wealth funds, pensions, asset managers, endowments, foundations, family offices and consultants that understand the nexus that exists between the retail and industrial sectors, according to Longpoint managing partner Dwight Angelini.

“We focus on the convergence between the retail and industrial sectors, which is generating attractive investment opportunities,” said Angelini.

Longpoint Realty Fund I is approximately 25 percent invested with a portfolio that includes 15 assets totaling approximately 1.8 million
