Logistics Capital Partners breaks ground on first logistics asset in Belgium

by Kali Persall

One year after making its first acquisition in Nivelles, Belgium, Logistics Capital Partners (LCP) has broken ground on a 30,000-square-meter (323,000-square-foot) warehouse in the region.

The logistics facility will be divided into two units of 15,000 square meters (161,500 square feet), each with its own office, social rooms and mezzanine. The site also will feature 178 parking spaces, as well as bike sheds and an outdoor area.

The first unit will be leased to pharmaceutical company Medi-Market, effective in October. Medi-Market will use the new warehouse as its central distribution center, and will also move its headquarters from Brussels to the site in Nivelles. The second unit is still available for lease and will be ready for take-up by December.

LCP said the project in Nivelles marks its official launch on the Belgian market for logistics real estate. Nivelles is one of several projects LCP is currently working on in Belgium.
