LNG power project announced in Southeast Vietnam

A consortium led by U.S.-based Energy Capital Vietnam (ECV) is developing an LNG power project in Southeast Vietnam and has selected Deutsche Bank to serve as its debt financing adviser for the project.

The fully private, multi-phase power project will import LNG via a subsea pipeline connected to an offshore floating storage and regasification unit. The project is located in the Mui Ke Ga, Binh Thuan Province.

“Vietnam has recently implemented policy reforms to encourage private sector participation necessary to meet its incredible energy demand over the next decade, and ECV's market-driven financing model can deliver sustainable investment,” said David Lewis, chairman and CEO of ECV.
